Engagement Session with Elisabeth and Joe

Oh.... it's been too long since I last blogged.  I think I said that the last time.  But, I do have a good reason why.  However, I will spare you all the details and just say I'm thankful to be back to 100% health from two months ago!  With that said, I'll blog about a recent engagement session I shot for a very special and sweet couple.  Their names are Joe and Elisabeth.

Elisabeth and I exchanged emails for a few months before the engagement session.  And over the last few months, for me, I felt like a friendship was forming.  We had talked on the phone once and then from there on out, it was pretty much all email correspondence.  We talked about what to wear, where we should meet for the engagement shoot, when we should do the shoot, etc.  We had planned for the shoot to originally take place in July, but that was right when I was feeling very sick and the dreaded fog was not just thick, it was very moist fog.  So, we decided it would be best to reschedule the shoot for the end of August once Elisabeth had come back from the East Coast from her summer Masters studies.  I'm so glad that we decided to reschedule because the weather was perfect!  We met at the Boat House at Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park.  Stow Lake is the place where Joe proposed to Elisabeth and it was extra meaningful to have their engagement pictures taken there.  I'm so happy to have finally meet Elisabeth and Joe.  The shoot went well and they both look so happy and in love!

It looks like the beginning of a Fairy Tale ending!  :)

Congratulations Joe and Elisabeth on your upcoming wedding ceremony.  You both are a lovely and sweet couple!  I wish you all the best and lots of blessings!  I look forward to your wedding day!

New Roots Project at Drew School in San Francisco

I've been looking forward to blogging about this post!  Back in February, a man from Paris, France by the name of Patrick Blanc (yes he has GREEN hair, his favorite color is GREEN and he some long fingernails), traveled to San Francisco to see his Vertical Garden design come to life at Drew School, just off of California Street and Broderick Street in San Francisco.   Drew School New Roots Project includes the new assembly wing, the Vertical Garden and a Rooftop Garden designed by Rana Creek.  I was assigned to take photos of the day-to-day progress of the planting of the Vertical Garden and a few weeks later to take photos after the scaffolding was taken down.  Here are some of the photos taken of Drew School and the Vertical Garden.  Enjoy!

Thanks for viewing my blog today!  If you live in San Francisco, you ought to take a walk or drive by Drew School on the corner of California and Broderick Streets.  The Vertical Garden is quite amazing!

San Francisco Family Shoot with the Ewarts

I first met Dave and Tracey briefly at our good friend Helen's birthday party last summer in Golden Gate Park.  I was just starting out my photography business, or I should say, I was building my portfolio up for my photography business in order to launch my website.  www.jaimelee-photography.com.  Matt and I were just about to leave Helen's party when Dave and Tracey, and their new baby, Cameron were arriving.  I asked if I could take a picture of their baby and they said, sure!  Then, I introduced myself and had offered to take pictures of their new baby if they'd like, but they had just had some pictures taken.  Bummer!  I still offered to take some when their baby got older.  We became friends on facebook and have a handful of mutual friends.  Recently, Tracey messaged me about setting up a photo session and we set it up.  We happened to pick a gorgeous, chilly, sunny day for the shoot at Alta Plaza Park in San Francisco.  After we did some outdoor pictures, I took some of Cameron playing with her toys indoors and the lighting was AWESOME!  You'll notice that Cameron is a very pretty, baby girl and has some amazingly beautiful, blue eyes!  Dave and Tracey are such loving parents and you can see how much they love their little girl!  Here are some images from that day.  I hope you enjoy!
