A brand new baby boy!

I had the honor of taking pictures of this lovely family when their first born was just a baby girl.   I was just beginning my photography career in San Francisco.  Cameron has recently become a big sister and she loves her new baby brother!  Kai was born only two weeks ago and he was patient enough to let us maneuver him and put him in scrunched up positions long enough to capture these moments.  He had cute hats to wear, cute onesies and even went without a diaper for several minutes with out any accidents!  It was only during the last portion of the shoot that he had some spit up, but that didn't stop him, nor his loving and proud parents to continue on with the shoot.  The only thing I wasn't able to capture, was an entire family photo with big sister Cameron (she was napping) and Rita, the family dog.  I will return and get a complete family photo.  :)

Congratulations to both of you, Tracey and Dave, on welcoming this sweet baby boy into your beautiful family!  Thank you for sharing your lives with me and letting me capture these precious moments.  Kai is only this small for short period of time and I'm thankful you booked your session to capture these moments you can enjoy forever...  I hear they grow up fast!

Last photoshoot and blog post of 2010

What an amazing year!  I remember saying to myself in 2009, that 2010 was going to be a fabulous year!  And it truly was!  From getting engaged and getting married to my love, Matt, to moving from Washington State to San Francisco, from leaving my career at Boeing to starting a photography career and meeting a network of amazing photographers in the Bay Area, running 3 half marathons and a full marathon and finally, making some new lifelong friends!  It has been a terrific year and I just can't wait to see what is in store for 2011.  I'm looking forward to photographing weddings this year, with two weddings already booked for the summer, and of course, families, graduating seniors and newly engaged couples!  Thank you to everyone for supporting and encouraging me throughout this last year.  I hope I was able to do the same for you!  Thank you 2010, for a terrific year and I'm so excited for what 2011 has in store!  Happy New Year!

Here are some images from my last photoshoot of the year.  This family flew in from Dallas, Texas for a Christmas in San Francisco and they were looking for some family photos around the city.  We were a little short on daylight, but managed to get some great images.  Thank you Pastore family and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!  May you have a healthy, happy and prosperous 2011!

I loved this family!

I met Dimitri and Colleen at a game night several months ago.  We share a mutual friend, Jenny.  I was fairly new to the city and just starting my photography business.  Colleen sent me a message on Facebook letting me know that she and her husband wanted some family photos taken with Dimitri's family.  So, gladly, I shot away and took these photos of this fun, funny and fabulous family!  Thanks for putting up with my tickly cough and I had so much fun with the entire family!!!  (Also, I thought I'd post mostly black and white photos just for a different post.  It was so hard to choose because I loved all the images so much!)

What a wonderful family!  Happy New Year!!!

I love this sweet family!

Alex and Heidi are some of the nicest people I've met, seriously.  They are friends of my husband, from Team in Training.  They all did triathlons together!  The first time I got to meet Alex and Heidi, they had just had their daughter, Ellie.  Ellie has grown up quite a bit since I met her the first time.  She has so much personality and she's just beautiful!

Here are some of my favorite photos from their family shoot.  :)
