Engagement Session with Elisabeth and Joe

Oh.... it's been too long since I last blogged.  I think I said that the last time.  But, I do have a good reason why.  However, I will spare you all the details and just say I'm thankful to be back to 100% health from two months ago!  With that said, I'll blog about a recent engagement session I shot for a very special and sweet couple.  Their names are Joe and Elisabeth.

Elisabeth and I exchanged emails for a few months before the engagement session.  And over the last few months, for me, I felt like a friendship was forming.  We had talked on the phone once and then from there on out, it was pretty much all email correspondence.  We talked about what to wear, where we should meet for the engagement shoot, when we should do the shoot, etc.  We had planned for the shoot to originally take place in July, but that was right when I was feeling very sick and the dreaded fog was not just thick, it was very moist fog.  So, we decided it would be best to reschedule the shoot for the end of August once Elisabeth had come back from the East Coast from her summer Masters studies.  I'm so glad that we decided to reschedule because the weather was perfect!  We met at the Boat House at Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park.  Stow Lake is the place where Joe proposed to Elisabeth and it was extra meaningful to have their engagement pictures taken there.  I'm so happy to have finally meet Elisabeth and Joe.  The shoot went well and they both look so happy and in love!

It looks like the beginning of a Fairy Tale ending!  :)

Congratulations Joe and Elisabeth on your upcoming wedding ceremony.  You both are a lovely and sweet couple!  I wish you all the best and lots of blessings!  I look forward to your wedding day!

Referral for a Family Shoot

I love when a client becomes a client because of a referral.  I've been so grateful to all my family, friends and happy clients who have sent new client referrals to me, as it has really helped my business grow and flourish!

This family was referred to me by my brother-in-law, Andy.  Andy is a builder/developer and Vivian is an architect.  They recently worked on a project together here in San Francisco.  When Andy learned that Vivian and her husband were looking for a family photographer, Andy told Vivian about me, gave her my website address and then, she emailed me.

Vivian and I corresponded weeks in advance of the photo shoot, setting a tentative date, but the city had received a lot of rain the day we had planned.  So, we rescheduled and it turned out to be the day that Matt and I were to leave to go get married.  Thankfully, we were leaving on a red eye that night and a morning shoot was perfect!  I really wanted to make sure they had their photos done in time to send off their holiday cards to friends and family.

We met at the Presidio, where I met her husband and their very cute boys, McCall and Anderson.  We took some shots there at the Presidio and then headed up to Golden Gate Park and went to Stow Lake where it was a bit warmer!  Here are some of my favorite shots from this shoot.  Thank you Andy for your kind referral and thank you Vivian for choosing me to be your family photographer!

Thank you for reading my blog post today!

Engagement shoot with a sweet couple...

This was taken at Golden Gate Park.
This is Kokoro and On-Tat.  We had a really nice engagement session yesterday.  On-Tat's sister found my Craigslist Post for the free wedding photography that I posted a few weeks ago.  Kokoro is from Japan and On-Tat grew up in San Francisco.  We decided to do an engagement shoot and I'm so happy we did!

I was a little nervous, just because it was foggy, a little windy and cool in temperature, but everyone braved it and the pictures turned out beautiful!  Kokoro was dressed in a Japanese Kimono and she was stunning!  I can't wait to see her in her wedding dress on Friday!
This was taken at the Honor of Legion.
At the Conservatory of Flowers.
Walking at the Palace of Fine Arts.
Stay tuned for pictures from On-Tat and Kokoro's wedding!!!!!
