Engagement Session with Elisabeth and Joe

Oh.... it's been too long since I last blogged.  I think I said that the last time.  But, I do have a good reason why.  However, I will spare you all the details and just say I'm thankful to be back to 100% health from two months ago!  With that said, I'll blog about a recent engagement session I shot for a very special and sweet couple.  Their names are Joe and Elisabeth.

Elisabeth and I exchanged emails for a few months before the engagement session.  And over the last few months, for me, I felt like a friendship was forming.  We had talked on the phone once and then from there on out, it was pretty much all email correspondence.  We talked about what to wear, where we should meet for the engagement shoot, when we should do the shoot, etc.  We had planned for the shoot to originally take place in July, but that was right when I was feeling very sick and the dreaded fog was not just thick, it was very moist fog.  So, we decided it would be best to reschedule the shoot for the end of August once Elisabeth had come back from the East Coast from her summer Masters studies.  I'm so glad that we decided to reschedule because the weather was perfect!  We met at the Boat House at Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park.  Stow Lake is the place where Joe proposed to Elisabeth and it was extra meaningful to have their engagement pictures taken there.  I'm so happy to have finally meet Elisabeth and Joe.  The shoot went well and they both look so happy and in love!

It looks like the beginning of a Fairy Tale ending!  :)

Congratulations Joe and Elisabeth on your upcoming wedding ceremony.  You both are a lovely and sweet couple!  I wish you all the best and lots of blessings!  I look forward to your wedding day!

Ian turns 1!

I started nannying Ian when he was 9 months old and it's amazing how much a baby can grow up in just a few months!  Once he turned one, he became a toddler practically overnight!
Enjoy the pictures from his first birthday!

Leah and Bryson sittin in a tree....

Oh me, oh my... I can't believe it's been a couple of months since I've blogged... but I do have quite a few blogs to post and I'm so excited!  :)

Before I even moved to San Francisco, I knew a childhood friend of mine was living in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.  (I say "Greater" because she is in the Air Force stationed at Travis AFB in Vacaville).  We even got together before I moved down here and when I eventually did move to SF, I was comforted knowing I had someone I knew from back home close by.

Leah and I go back gosh, at least 25 years ago when we were just little girls.  Our families spent several summers together at Sun Lakes in Eastern Washington at an annual adoptee get together through WACAP, an international adoption agency based in Kent, Washington.  My family only went until I was 12 years old.  I was adopted from Seoul, Korea, as well as Leah's parents and her brother Tye.  Til this day, we still are in touch with a handful of families that got together every summer and it's really a special bond and memory!

Shortly after I moved to San Francisco last April, I was invited to Kailia's 2nd birthday, Leah's daughter, where I met Bryson.  Bryson and Leah were just beginning to hang out.  :)  I had a feeling that something was going to develop!  They were just too cute together!  Sure enough, over the last year and a half their love for one another developed and Bryson popped the big question New Year's eve at Lake Tahoe.  And Leah said YES!

Leah and Bryson have been so wonderful in being my photography models as I was building my photography portfolio.  I'm so grateful for their beautiful, smiley faces and willingness to help me with my career.  And I was so honored and thrilled to be able to photograph their beautiful wedding at the gorgeous V. Sattui Winery in St. Helena, California.  Leah was an absolutely stunning bride, Bryson was a handsome groom and the wedding ceremony couldn't have been more perfect.  It was a romantic evening of love and celebration.

Congratulations Leah and Bryson!  I wish you both many years of laughter, good health, joy and love.  May your marriage be filled with God's blessings! Thank you for your friendship, kindess and love!

Here are some pictures from their wedding day.  Enjoy!
